Free-ish group art: Scripture poster

Group projects on a budget are my jam. This is one of my favorites!

Choose a scripture and print it in a large font. Cut up individual words. Depending on the look you’re going for, rip scraps of paper into irregular shapes, or cut them into whatever shapes you’d like. Provide art supplies - a mix of markers, colored pencils, pens, and crayons worked well for us. Let your youth choose words and write/decorate them as they’d like. Assemble on dark construction paper and pop into a frame if you’re feeling fancy.

For a remote-friendly ministry option, mail words and blank paper to kids as part of a youth group care package. Ask their families to drop off completed words safely and assemble.
